John is co-head of Japan Equities. He is a member of the Goldman Sachs Japan Co., Ltd. Executive Committee, Asia Pacific Global Banking & Markets – Public Best Execution Committee and Japan Talent Council.

Previously, John was global head of Asia Pacific Sales. Prior to that, he was head of the Global Equity Sales department in the Securities Division in Japan. John joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 as an analyst focusing on Japanese Equities, having been a summer analyst in 2000. He was named managing director in 2012.

John earned a BS in Policy Analysis from Cornell University in 2000.
