The Foundation, in collaboration with Yokohama University and the APAC HPV Coalition, ran a public health intervention in response to Japan’s dramatically low HPV vaccination rates following a decade-long suspension of government recommendations. The study investigates how digital education can drive catch-up vaccinations among young adult women. Conducted as a randomized, internet-based trial, our researchers evaluated the impact of a short narrative video paired with an informational leaflet versus the leaflet alone. Targeting unvaccinated women aged 18–26, the study measured vaccination uptake over three months, revealing key insights into effective strategies for improving public health outreach and HPV prevention.
