Empowering MDWs: Resilience, Wellbeing & Pathways Forward
The Karen Leung Foundation is proud to support Enrich in hosting a special International Women’s Day event dedicated to empowering Hong Kong’s migrant domestic workers (MDWs). This inspiring community celebration will honour the resilience and contributions of MDWs, particularly those affected by the Wang Fuk Fire in Tai Po.
In line with this year’s theme “Give to Gain” and in the spirit of empowerment and inclusion, the event will bring together essential health and wellness services, educational workshops, and community engagement activities designed to strengthen support networks and promote wellbeing.
Event Highlights
- Free health checks and mental wellness support
- Safety, financial literacy, and fraud prevention sessions
- Women’s wellbeing and body awareness workshops
- Entrepreneurship sessions inspired by Enrich HK’s “Setting Up My Business” program
We’re delighted to stand alongside Enrich HK and other community partners in celebrating the strength, talent, and invaluable contributions of migrant domestic workers across Hong Kong. Together, we aim to build a more inclusive and supportive community for all women.
