Dear Friends and Supporters:
We hope you are all staying well.
As the world is facing COVID-19 and we need to work together to keep each other safe, there is no better time to remind ourselves that prevention is better than cure.
At the Karen Leung Foundation, one of our core objectives is our prevention work to ensure the early detection of gynaecological cancers in women. In doing so, a very important part of our mission is to raise awareness on how easy it is to prevent many gynaecological cancers, particularly amongst women aged between 25 - 64 years.
Therefore we launched a social media campaign around the theme #YourHealthCantWait, which saw great response rates and plenty of impressions. Please read our blog post for more insight. We would like to thank all the volunteers who acted in the promotional clips, which you can view here.
As businesses adjust to working remotely, we at the Foundation are also reviewing how we need to alter our health programmes to fit the ‘new normal’ and how we will continue our fundraising efforts during and post the coronavirus pandemic. Stay tuned for more updates in the month to come!
We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our partners and donors, as we stand together to address the current challenges. If you have not done so, please check out our upgraded our online donation portal to reflect some of our latest programme changes. Given its not quite the start of the year we had hoped for, by any stretch of the imagination, our work to combat gynaecological cancer continues and hence any donation helps us to continue our mission for a cancer-free community. Thank you!
I wish you and your families a Happy Easter. Stay safe and healthy.
Katharina and the team at KLF
