Motivated to avoid a subsequent surgical procedure after a 15-year journey with chronic HPV and cervical precancer (dysplasia – the condition that is detected during routine Pap testing), Alia Rahman began experimenting with a variety of compounds in her own kitchen in pursuit of a topical therapy for self-treatment. Little did she know that her kitchen discovery would serve as the basis for Amplexd Therapeutics groundbreaking non-invasive therapies, now on track to becoming a commercial reality, and positioned to benefit over 300M women a year affected by a high-risk variety of HPV – at low-cost and without surgery.
