Kenny Zhang is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the Valliance Long Short Fund, which focuses on investments in the Digital Economy Supply Chain. Kenny has over 10 years of relevant investment experience and industry expertise across multiple sectors, regions, and asset classes.

Prior to joining Valliance, he was the Strategic Officer and Head of Strategic Investments for GDS Holdings from 2019 to 2022. There, he led a 10-person M&A team and completed over 15 data center acquisitions. Kenny was instrumental in propelling GDS to achieve the number one market share in all major markets.

Before joining GDS, Kenny served as a Long/Short Research Analyst at Moore Capital Management from 2016 to 2019. His investment focus includes semiconductors, data centers, US cloud service providers, and China A-shares and ADRs. Kenny began his career with Brookfield Asset Management, where he was a key contributor to completing Brookfield’s first investment in China: Shanghai Xintiandi.

Kenny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, with an additional major in Economics, from Carnegie Mellon University.
