Conference proceeds to support the Karen Leung Foundation in its fight against gynecological and pediatric cancers

New investment leaders to present ideas at Inaugural Next Wave Hong Kong Sohn
May 23, 2018 (Hong Kong) -- The Annual Sohn Hong Kong Investment Conference, presented by the Karen Leung Foundation, today announces the full speaker lineup for its next event in the city, which will be held on May 30, 2018 at the Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, Admiralty, Hong Kong.
The original investment idea conference, which now spans across eleven (11) cities and five continents and has inspired more than US$85 million of charitable giving from the financial community, brings together sell and buy side investment professionals, asset managers and private investors from across the world. This year, the speaker line-up features highly successful and experienced managers who will present exclusive short and long investment ideas and market views.

Since its inception, the Sohn Hong Kong Conference has raised in excess of HK$9.5 million. Proceeds have financed free screening programs for low-income women in Hong Kong and driven public awareness programs and a school-based HPV vaccination program for young girls. By the end of 2018 approximately 3500 girls in Hong Kong will have benefitted from this program. This year’s proceeds will be partially channelled into a new initiative addressing the need for co-funded vaccination programs for the Hong Kong middle class, complementing KLF’s ongoing broader vaccination efforts across the social-economic spectrum in Hong Kong. KLF is also planning to continue enhancing and growing some of its flagship preventative programs through the 2018 proceeds.
