Karen Leung Foundation (KLF) is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a generous grant worth HKD $328,000 from St James’s Place Charitable Foundation, to help continue our HPV school vaccination program in Hong Kong public schools. This grant will cover the HPV vaccination cost for around 150 schoolgirls as well as provide an education programme to increase vaccine uptake rates and help to raise awareness of HPV-related cancers. 

Over the last few years, Karen Leung Foundation ran a “cervical cancer prevention education and prophylactic HPV vaccine programme” in public schools in Hong Kong. The programme aimed to increase uptake rates as well as promote overall awareness of cervical cancer and HPV-related cancers through education and vaccination campaigns in a school setting. To date, the programme has benefited over 2,500 girls within the Hong Kong public school system and with this grant, KLF will continue our effort in this field to cover more girls in need.
