Hong Kong Women's Check-up Campaign

Hong Kong saw 522 new cases of cervical cancer in 2022. The vast majority of cervical cancer cases are caused by persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV), which can be transmitted through both heterosexual and homosexual intercourse. Studies show that 80% of women will have been infected with HPV by age 50. Not all infections progress to cancer—hence early detection and management of abnormal cells are critical.

Roche Diagnostics and the Karen Leung Foundation are collaborating again this year to spearhead a Check-up campaign during the second quarter of 2025. Therefore, KLF will fund free HPV DNA screenings for 300 eligible women. Please click the LINK and see if you qualify.
