Katharina Reimer

Executive Director

Mrs. Reimer is the Executive Director of the Karen Leung Foundation and leads all aspects of the Foundation’s operations, fundraising, and development. Additionally, she is the Board Chair and a Director at Citykids Pre-school Ltd. and holds several other board advisory roles. Prior to her current remits, Katharina led marketing & communications teams in APAC and acted as strategic media advisor to a number of public sector organisations in the Middle East and Africa.

Katharina is a passionate advocate for social change and has been heavily involved in supporting several local charities and philanthropic causes in Hong Kong and has served on a number of philanthropic committees and foundation boards. Since joining KLF in 2017, she has substantially grown the organizational budget and added numerous strategic partners and programs that support the Foundation’s vision. Katharina is also a Founding member of the APAC HPV Coalition, a think tank which aims to advance the awareness, prevention and treatment of HPV-related disease.

Katharina holds a Bachelor degree from the University of West of England (Bristol, England) and a Master in Economics from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. She has lived in over 20 countries and is fluent in three languages. She currently lives with her husband and their two children in Hong Kong.

Nancy Wong

Program & Marketing Manager

Nancy Wong joined the Foundation in January 2021. Her dual role across both marketing and program management demonstrates the evolution of KLF as a Foundation in a post-COVID world. With a wealth of experience in the communications realm, Nancy has spearheaded initiatives in the travel and leisure industry as well as the luxury retail sector. She has overseen global projects and events as well as devised PR and marketing strategies for the APAC region. 

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science from Boston University and joins KLF with enthusiasm to create an impact for our cause. She is fluent in both Mandarin and English.

Minnie So

Executive Assistant and Office Manager

Minnie So joined the Foundation in 2019 in a dual role assisting our Executive Director and as the Office Manager. Minnie’s primary responsibilities include assisting KLF in all mid and back-office functions, including administrative support and event management. 

Prior to joining KLF, Minnie worked for a well-known charity in London, specialising within the property sector. Most recently, Minnie worked as an Executive Assistant and Team Coordinator at a large public corporation in the retirement sector based in Auckland, New Zealand before relocating to Hong Kong earlier this year.

Minnie holds a bachelor in business and property management from the University of Auckland. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors especially boating. Minnie speaks Cantonese and English.

Waqas Khatri

Board Director & Co-Founder

Waqas is the co-founder of the Karen Leung Foundation. Waqas and Karen were married in January 2012 after several happy years together in Hong Kong. Given his journey with Karen before and during her battle with cervical cancer, he feels compelled to honour her wishes and ensure that other women have the opportunity to prevent cancer or detect it earlier.

Waqas brings vision, passion and leadership to the Foundation. He holds a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Vassar College. Waqas is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Ayrton Capital. He lives in New York City.

Seth Fischer

Board Member & Co-Founder

Seth is a co-founder and Board member of the Karen Leung Foundation. He is also the founder and Chief Investment Officer at Oasis Management, where Karen worked as a trader in both the Tokyo and Hong Kong offices. Based in Hong Kong, Seth offers leadership in the day-to-day development of the organization in all areas. He holds a BA in Political Science from Yeshiva University in New York.

Driven by a strong interest in the community, Seth has served in the Israel Defense Forces and currently serves as a Board Member of Carmel School in Hong Kong, and Vice Chairman of the Ohel Leah Synagogue Management Committee. Seth lives with his wife, Nealy, and four children in Hong Kong.

Sarah Morgan Feith

Board Director

Sarah joined the KLF Board in 2014 to help guide the Foundation’s strategy and operations.

Sarah currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and son. From 2014-2017, she worked in Hong Kong at Goldman Sachs in Investment Banking Compliance. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Sarah worked in Washington, D.C., for the Freedom House and the Foreign Policy Initiative, where she focused on project management, fundraising and advocacy campaigns.

Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from Barnard College at Columbia University, and her master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Connie Heng

Board Director

Connie Heng joined the Board of the Karen Leung Foundation in 2017 to help further the Foundation's cause and honour her friend Karen Leung. Connie is Head of Capital Markets in Asia Pacific and sits on the Asia Pacific Leadership Group at Clifford Chance. During her 22-year career, she has helped many Hong Kong and Chinese issuers with their securities offerings in the international debt capital markets and has advised on many landmark transactions. Connie is an active supporter of diversity and gender issues and chairs ‎the Clifford Chance Hong Kong Women's Network. She holds a BA in law from the National University of Singapore and lives in Hong Kong with her husband and two young daughters.
