Emmanuel HUI is the Managing Partner of the Tiger Jade Pebble Accelerator (“Pebble”). Pebble is a pre-Series A investment company, with a mandate for biomedical innovations in the Greater Bay Area. Pebble is backed by Tiger Jade Capital, a venture fund anchored by Tigermed (HKEX: 3347). For his portfolio, HUI serves as a Board Member of Tonisity China, EggLogics, and Angene Biotechnology. Prior to investing, HUI co-founded Moogene Medi (KRX: 322970) a gene therapy nanoliposome platform company. He also serves on the HKSTP Biomedical Technology Development Advisory Panel, and the Hospital Authority Central Institutional Review Board (Paediatrics). Vocationally, he is a Producer for H1Music (recent works: The Rescue, Anita, HK Philharmonic Orchestra’s Metaverse Symphony, etc.).

Prof. Alice Sze Tsai WONG

Associate VP (Research), Interim Director and Professor, School of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, HKU

Prof. Alice Sze Tsai WONG is a Professor in the School of Biological Sciences. She also serves the Associate Vice-President (Research) and Director (Interim) of the Dr Li Dak-Sum Research Centre and the School of Biological Sciences. Professor Wong is internationally recognised in the field of signal transduction in ovarian cancer. In particular, cell adhesion molecules are very important for many physiological processes, which if deregulated, can contribute to cancer. She has made numerous seminal contributions in unraveling the precise mechanisms of cell adhesion dynamics pertinent to ovarian cancer development and metastasis and its potential translational applications. In recent years, her group has initiated a multidisciplinary approach to dissect the dynamic components of the tumor microenvironment.These discoveries are also preceded by innovation and technology awards. In recognition of her academic contributions, she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology. She is also the recipient of numerous prestigious awards for excellence in research, including the Women in Cancer Research - Brigid G. Leventhal Scholar Award, the AACR-Bristol-Myer Squibb Oncology Young Investigator Scholar Award, the HKU Outstanding Young Researcher Award, the Croucher Senior Research Fellowship, and currently the RGC Senior Research Fellowship. In addition to her great achievements in research, Professor Wong also impacts teaching and learning, as recognised by the HKU Outstanding Teaching Award and the Higher Education Academy’s Senior Fellowship.

Stephen LO

CFO, Prenetics

Stephen is the CFO of Prenetics. Prior to joining Prenetics in 2018, Stephen was with Citigroup's investment banking division in Asia. Before investment banking, Stephen was an auditor with Ernst & Young. He is a Fellow of HKICPA, a Chartered Accountant with ICAEW, and a CFA Charterholder. He graduated from the Yale School of Management, the London School of Economics and Political Science and Hong Kong Baptist University.

Rishaad SALAMAT

Anchor, Bloomberg TV, Asia

Rishaad Salamat is one of Bloomberg’s longest-serving TV anchors. He has been based in Hong Kong since 2010 and features on weekday morning show “Bloomberg Markets Asia." Rishaad has interviewed numerous business and political leaders around the world, including former British Prime Minsiter Gordon Brown, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, former Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Nobel Laureates Joseph Stiglitz and Mohammed Younus and former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. Rishaad has hosted multiple Bloomberg Television special series including Future of Energy, Titans at the Table Asia and Voyagers. Rishaad joined Bloomberg Television’s London bureau in 1997.

Georgie Harvey ROSS

Founder and Managing Director of Eventstigated

Georgie is the Founder and Managing Director of Eventstigated, an event company specialising in management, production and entertainment. Georgie found her love for the stage and passion for entertaining at a young age. She spent much of her childhood in drama school, mastering the talent of acting, dancing and singing. This set foundational skills which would come highly useful for her life ahead, and for the career she wanted to design. She started work in the hospitality industry at the age of 15 and continued to grow professionally in this space before moving directly into organising and hosting events in both London and Hong Kong, where she has resided since 2016.
