Project Teal is a pilot program that aims to decrease cases of cervical cancer in under-served communities. The program is a collaboration between the Central Health Medical Practices, the Karen Leung Foundation, Christian Action, and Roche Diagnostics.
Cervical cancer is the eighth most common cancer affecting women in Hong Kong, yet one of the most preventable cancers. By addressing the gaps in education and access to screening and treatment, we hope to lower the incidence of cervical cancer in Hong Kong, so women can live productive lives within the family and society.
Project Teal will support women throughout their journeys. The program will provide free cervical cancer screening services (High-risk HPV test and Pap smear) and treatment advice according to the latest medical guidelines for women.
