Conversations about certain topics are difficult to have, and speaking about gynaecological cancer falls under that umbrella. Given our experiences with previous programmes, raising awareness through traditional channels proved to be challenging at times, making individuals feel somewhat uncomfortable, upset or embarrassed. This year, we devised a strategy that would not only put people at ease, but also, to cast our net as wide as possible and spread awareness to as many as we could reach. After months of brainstorming and planning, we decided to utilize the illustrative power of the arts as an interactive way of educating people on gynaecological cancers, whereby "The ExtraOrdinary Exhibition" was born.  

The Exhibition featured both local and international artists’ work around female empowerment, and the celebration of the human body. Contributing artists included Simon Birch, Faye Wei Wei, Afa Annfa, Lily Leung, Tanya Bennett, Ophelia Jacarini, Vivian Ho, Sarah Tse, Jenny Lam, Eunice Cheng Wai Man, Ali Ghorbani, Riya Chandiramani, Kim Robinson, Lean Lui, Gedvile Bunikyte, Ines Laimins and Basil Pao.
