Katharina Reimer

Executive Director

Katharina joined the Karen Leung Foundation as Executive Director in January 2017 and leads all aspects of the Foundation’s operations, fundraising efforts and development.

Katharina has extensive experience in working with both public and financial sector companies in the areas of fundraising, advocacy and marketing communications. Being a passionate advocate for philanthropic causes around women’s and family health as well as education, she has served on several philanthropic committees and foundation boards. She applies her acquired skills of both for-profit and non-profit work together with her global network to the Foundation and its growth.

Judy Li

Healthcare Program Manager

Judy Li joined the Foundation as Healthcare Program Manager in 2017.

Judy began her career as a registered nurse in Canada, serving in the community and the operating theatre after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University in Toronto. She also holds a Master of Public Health from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Several post graduate diplomas & appointments had her spend time at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium and as Community Health Officer for disaster relief in China and Nepal to name a few. In addition, Judy has great experience working with charitable organizations in low- and middle- income settings around the world, where she has deployed her expertise in the areas of health promotion of maternal and child health. 

After having spent most of her life abroad, Judy recently found her way back to Hong Kong and she looks to bring positive change to the Hong Kong community by applying her knowledge and international experience to KLF. Judy now lives in Hong Kong with her husband and young daughter.

Lynn Tran

Senior Health Planning Consultant

Senior Health Planning Consultant

Lynn served the Karen Leung Foundation as Executive Director from November 2014 to January 2017 and currently supports the Foundation in a consulting role, providing guidance in health program planning, development and evaluation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of British Columbia. Lynn has a strong background in policy and public health and has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including research, community and government. Most recently she served as Health Planning Advisor on the STOP HIV/AIDS Project in Vancouver, Canada. Lynn now lives in Vancouver with her husband and is honoured to have the opportunity to continue to fulfil Karen’s wish to promote awareness, prevention, early detection and optimal treatment of gynaecological cancers in the Hong Kong community.

Swana Lau

Administrative Support Manager

Administrative Support Manager

Swana Lau joined the Foundation in 2017 as an Administrative Support Manager. In her role, she supports KLF across all middle and back office tasks as well as assist with fundraisers and community events.

Swana started her career at Clifford Chance and has since worked for the top international law firms in various Administrative Support roles. She brings rich experience across project management, administration, vendor management and else required know-how to keep an organization running smoothly. Together with her vibrant personality, enthusiasm and passion to help others, Swana comes as a valued member of the team and will be an asset to the Foundation and its growth. Swana is tri-lingual and lives with her partner in Hong Kong.

Waqas Khatri

Board Director & Co-Founder

Founder & Board Director

Waqas is the co-founder of the Karen Leung Foundation. Waqas and Karen were married in January 2012 after several happy years together in Hong Kong. Given his journey with Karen before and during her battle with cervical cancer, he feels compelled to honour her wishes and ensure that other women have the opportunity to prevent cancer or detect it earlier.

Waqas brings vision, passion and leadership to the Foundation. He holds a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Vassar College. Waqas is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Ayrton Capital. He lives in New York City.

Seth Fischer

Board Director & Co-Founder

Founder & Board Director

Seth is a co-founder and Board member of the Karen Leung Foundation. He is also the founder and Chief Investment Officer at Oasis Management, where Karen worked as a trader in both the Tokyo and Hong Kong offices. Based in Hong Kong, Seth offers leadership in the day-to-day development of the organization in all areas. He holds a BA in Political Science from Yeshiva University in New York.

Driven by a strong interest in the community, Seth has served in the Israel Defense Forces and currently serves as a Board Member of Carmel School in Hong Kong, and Vice Chairman of the Ohel Leah Synagogue Management Committee. Seth lives with his wife, Nealy, and four children in Hong Kong.

Sarah Morgan Feith

Board Director

Sarah joined the KLF Board in 2014 to help guide the Foundation’s strategy and operations.

Sarah currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and son. From 2014-2017, she worked in Hong Kong at Goldman Sachs in Investment Banking Compliance. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Sarah worked in Washington, D.C., for the Freedom House and the Foreign Policy Initiative, where she focused on project management, fundraising and advocacy campaigns.

Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from Barnard College at Columbia University, and her master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Connie Heng

Board Director

Connie Heng joined the Board of the Karen Leung Foundation in 2017 to help further the Foundation's cause and honour her friend Karen Leung. Connie is Head of Capital Markets in Asia Pacific and sits on the Asia Pacific Leadership Group at Clifford Chance. During her 20-year career, she has helped many Hong Kong and Chinese issuers with their securities offerings in the international debt capital markets and has advised on many landmark transactions. Connie is an active supporter of diversity and gender issues and chairs ‎the Clifford Chance Hong Kong Women's Network. She holds a BA in law from the National University of Singapore and lives in Hong Kong with her husband and two young daughters.
